Salahnya di mana? Jadi asbun aja. Jadi nggak boleh kita asal ngomong apalagi senior-senior. Dia kan 70 berapa tahun, saya kan 71 tahun juga," ujar Luhut saat memberikan pidato di Gedung BPK, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, Senin (19/3/2018).
Luhut mengatakan, pemerintah tidak anti kritik. Namun, kritik yang dilontarkan ke pemerintah sebaiknya adalah kritik yang membangun. Bukan kritik asal bunyi.
Bahkan Luhut mengatakan, dia mengetahui rekam jejak sosok senior tersebut.
"Jangan asal kritik saja. Saya tahu track recordmu kok. Kalau kau merasa paling bersih kau boleh ngomong. Dosamu banyak juga kok, ya sudah diam saja lah. Tapi jangan main-main, kalau main-main kita bisa cari dosamu kok. Emang kau siapa?" tegasnya.
Luhut juga gerah pada anggapan bahwa pemerintah Pro pada PKI. Dia membantah hal tersebut. Luhut mengaku ikut menumpas PKI pada zaman perang.
"Jadi jangan bilang bahwa kita Pro PKI apanya Pro PKI? di mana Pro PKI? Saya ikut tumpas PKI kok. Di mananya? Saya tentara saya tahu. Saya tanya nasionalisme. Makanya saya bilang, Eh kalau kau belum pernah ditembaki jangan bilang nasionalisme," tuturnya.
